Sans repos, l&#039;\u00e9puisement dominait la majeure partie de sa journ\u00e9e, et Sita pouvait \u00eatre vue se balancer alors qu&#039;elle essayait de dormir en se tenant debout. Sita se recroquevillait \u00e0 la vue des humains alors que l&#039;entra\u00eenement douloureux brisait son esprit et que les cicatrices sur son corps r\u00e9citaient leur propre histoire d&#039;abus. On lui donnerait une alimentation maigre, inadapt\u00e9e \u00e0 son \u00e2ge et le manque de soins m\u00e9dicaux l&#039;a amen\u00e9e \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des coussinets plantaires gravement bless\u00e9s qui \u00e9taient infest\u00e9s d&#039;asticots. Malgr\u00e9 son corps montrant visiblement des signes d&#039;\u00e9puisement, elle continuerait \u00e0 se produire dans l&#039;agonie. L&#039;\u00e9valuation m\u00e9dicale de Sita a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu&#039;elle souffre d&#039;un membre ant\u00e9rieur ankylos\u00e9, probablement en raison d&#039;une fracture non cicatris\u00e9e comme un \u00e9l\u00e9phant de cirque. Ses tempes enfonc\u00e9es montraient la grave n\u00e9gligence qu&#039;elle avait subie uniquement pour la commodit\u00e9 de ses propri\u00e9taires. Une fois sauv\u00e9e par Wildlife SOS, Sita nous a inspir\u00e9s par sa force in\u00e9branlable alors qu&#039;elle se promenait lentement dans le centre, prenait des bains de poussi\u00e8re \u00e9labor\u00e9s et cueillait des branches d&#039;arbres.
